Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have solid news judgment and creative ideas to help make the newscast and website standout. We’re looking for someone with 4-5 years experience who can lead the largest morning news staff in the market. Strong writing and producing skills a must. Must have a proven track record with an aggressive approach to winning the big story, breaking news coverage and weather. The EP works closely with the management team and participates in content and strategic planning.

The content coordinator manages, edits and tracks incoming and outgoing content for multiple platforms. The primary processes you conduct in your role:
* Monitor, communicate and traffic all incoming content
* Collaborate with newsroom staff to achieve editorial objectives
* Maintenance storage and capacity of SAN
* Edit content for use on multiple platforms
* Responsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to video editing equipment
* Working knowledge of the multitude of paths by which content is imported and exported
* Distribution of content to other Scripps units
* Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* BS/BA in related discipline.
* Generally 5-8 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Job Description:
The Assignment Editor is responsible for managing newsroom assignments, coordinating logistics, monitoring news wires and scanners.
* Plan news coverage as directed by news management
* Assign crews to stories and breaking news, using appropriate logistical and journalistic judgment
* Make calls to news sources as needed, gaining appropriate and actionable information
* Assist in finding stories, doing research and tracking story ideas in assignment desk computer with emphasis on key brand points
* Write and post content to the web as required
* Perform other duties as needed and as directed by news management
* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
* Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Requirements
