Update–Winners were announced on Friday, May 6. In most cases, I notified a central contact person at each media organization. In the case of individual submissions or freelancers, however, I also attempted to send those notifications personally. I have heard from several people who did not receive the email or whose email had gone into their junk mailbox. So if you haven’t heard anything and want to double-check, please contact me before Friday, May 20. Winners will be announced online at 10 pm PST on Saturday, May 21 following the Seattle and Portland awards banquets.

Entries for the 2010 SPJ Northwest Excellence in Journalism contest have been judged. We are finalizing our records, and will be making email notifications to winners and/or administrative contacts early this week. To learn more about your chapter’s awards banquet or event, please contact your chapter leaders directly.

Winners for the regional (pro) contest will be posted on this website after 10 pm on Sat., May 21, 2011.
