Scripps Leadership Institute applications being taken

The incredible Ted Scripps Leadership Institute is still taking applications.

As an alum, I highly recommend this program. When I went three years ago, I learned a ton, met the existing and future leadership of SPJ, and really understood how the organization worked. If you are an incoming president for your chapter and are interested in making your chapter better, learning more about yourself, or if you have aspirations to help SPJ beyond a local level, take the weekend and do something for yourself AND SPJ.

It is scheduled for June 1-3 in Indianapolis, and each accepted applicant is asked to contribute $100. But all travel, food and entertainment expenses are covered as is your hotel room in downtown Indy.

Here is the link to apply: http://www.spj.org/scrippslt.asp

Deadline is March 15 and the application must be done online.

Contact me at jpilcher@fuse.net or Heather Dunn at SPJ HQ at 317/927-8000 ext. 204 or via e-mail at hdunn@spj.org.
