Ruth Pettis and I are getting LOTS of inquiries from contestants who can’t login to the BetterNewspaperContest.com website.

The most common question is that folks don’t know the password to log in. For every entrant and every media organization, “bnc” (all lowercase, no quotation marks) is the password to use the FIRST time you enter the system. You will immediately be asked to change that password. This is true even if you’ve entered the contest before.
