Awards corrections & re-orders

By Dana Neuts | May 20th, 2012

Now that the 2011 SPJ NW Excellence in Journalism Awards have been announced, we are starting to receive requests for duplicate awards and corrections. Here’s how re-orders and corrections will work:

1)  Please download this form to request a correction or order a duplicate trophy or certificate.

2)  Submit it to regional director Dana Neuts with your payment by July 15 (note: if it is our error, we’ll pay for the correction).

3)  We’ll make changes to the trophies, certificates and online awards booklet all at once after all of the changes have been submitted.

Because the trophies and awards booklet are being done by outside vendors and there is a cost involved with each change, we are not able to make changes more quickly. Thank you for your understanding.

Congratulations to all of our award winners in the 2011 SPJ NW Excellence in Journalism Awards. If you have won an award, you and/or your media organization have already been notified. Awards will be presented to winners in the Greater Oregon and W. Washington Pro chapters this Saturday, May 19 at awards banquets. Other chapters in the region will present awards individually or at a special awards event. Contact your local chapter president for more info.

In addition, we will post the full winners’ list here by midnight, Sunday, May 20 PST.

For those on our media list, we will also send an embargoed press release by noon, Friday, May 18 PST. The list is embargoed and cannot be shared or published before Sunday, May 20 PST.

Once that list has been posted, please contact regional director Dana Neuts with questions about the awards. If there is a mistake on your award, or you want to order a duplicate trophy or certificate, please download this form and submit it to Dana Neuts by July 15, 2012.
