Just happened to be checking out Twitter this evening when I saw that ProfNet has launched #ConnectChat – a new monthly Twitter-based conversation with members of the media or the public.
The first-ever #ConnectChat was with Francine McKenna, a freelance writer who also has more than 25 years of expereince in the auditing and accounting industry. McKenna’s blog, re: The Auditors, focuses on the role that the Big 4 auditing/accounting firms play in global capital markets.
Questions during the 90-minute chat on Twitter seemed to focus on how to turn a subject matter expertise into a writing career. Folks who follow ProfNet on Twitter could submit questions via the social networking site and follow along using the #connectchat hashtag.
ProfNet is the Jersey City, N.J.-based subsidiary of global media giant United Business Media, which is headquartered in Dublin.
Anyone else catch any of this chat on Twitter? I’d love to hear what fellow Tweeps in Region 1 and SPJ members across the globe thought of the concept.
