Afghanistan governemnt going after private media

By Dan Kubiske

The Afghan government is waging a campaign to do in a private television station because it airs programs of men and women dancing together. The Information and Culture Ministry announced March 30 that the broadcasting of some Indian films and TV series, regarded as anti-Islamic, will be banned by  April 14.

Here is a report from Reporters without Borders: http://www.rsf.org/article.php3?id_article=26420

And so far there has been no comment from the U.S. government about this major step down the line of censorship.
