Freelance: A success story
We love a happy ending. This one comes to you with the help of the SPJ Freelancer Directory. Jeff Cutler shares his story:
Thanks to SPJ and the Freelance listings, I got my first NY Post byline this week. They needed a warm body in Cambridge, MA for the Eliot Spitzer ethics talk at Harvard and they called me.
Cutler also shared some tried and true advice for all you freelancers out there. Check it out on the SPJ Works blog.

I hope to get the opportunity to get a freelance job and be able to use the education that I am getting and the research that I have done so extensively.I run and volunteer for several foundations and would like to be able to inform the public of the knowledge that I have been able to obtain through a great deal of work and many years of researching certain issues.
I have many issues that I believe that the public would be interested in and my goal in writing any freelance article would be to keep the reader’s interest and make sure that the topic is one that would grab and hold the readers attention throughout the entire story, eassay, article or any piece of writing that I may be doing as a freelancer.
Thank you for taking the time to read my opinion.
